I have often visited the fantastic Shetland Islands, and I, like others, have been captivated by the islands' unique knitting traditions.

When I last visited the islands, I bought a lot of yarn and original Shetland patterns for my shop at Jamieson & Smith in Lerwick, and you now have the opportunity to acquire these original patterns and the yarn with which the Shetlanders knit the models themselves.

These absolutely beautiful and very warm socks are knitted in Shetland Heritage yarn, a super soft and very strong wool yarn. You knit with double yarn on double pointed needles 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm.
